Vision Expo West 2020 (canceled)

vision expoThe Vision Council and Reed Exhibitions, organizers of Vision Expo, have announced the decision to cancel Vision Expo West 2020, originally scheduled to take place September 23-26 in Las Vegas. Despite efforts to ensure the safety of everyone planning on attending Vision Expo West and a strong interest from the industry to participate, the decision was made to cancel the event as a result of Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak's announcement in late June sharing that Nevada "will remain in Phase 2 of reopening plans through the end of July due to current trends of the coronavirus infection."

To bring the optical community together in between in-person events, Vision Expo has introduced a series of virtual offerings. Hosted on Vision Expo’s Vision Connects webpage, virtual programs include the Virtual EYE2EYE series, a series of virtual panels and interactive conversations inspired by Vision Expo’s EYE2EYE Educational Series; the InFocus video series, a series of four-minute video interviews with some of Vision Expo’s top industry attendees and OPTImum program buyers; and the soon-to-be launched Virtual Vision Series. These virtual offerings are designed for the eyewear and eyecare community to source content, build industry knowledge, facilitate connections and schedule meetings.

The vision community is encouraged to visit Vision Expo’s Vision Connects webpage frequently to stay informed on leading topics and education and engage with other industry professionals in one centralized location.
